FAMILIES WITH YOUNG CHILDREN

Families with Young Children is a wonderful group of parents and children who seek to build Christian relationships through activities at St. James. They hope to create a solid base for their children in the church and support and encourage one another in their parenting. The group is designed for families with children 5th grade and younger.

The group is planning to meet each month on the third Sunday for an event. Families are asked to host one month’s activity. To host the event you and your family decide what you would like to do this month with the group: roller skating, valentine party at the church, singing at the nursing home, making cookies and sending them to the college students, etc. The host family provides everything for that one event, sends out invitations and puts up a sign up poster for publicity. Consider signing up for a month on the poster on the nursery door. It’s a great way for your family to pull together to plan something for the church families. See Hope Moran (462-7340) if you have any questions or need any help.

Children's Church
Each Sunday during the 10:30am worship service there is a special children's message given by Pastor Joyce. Then the children in preschool and kindergarten go to children's church to hear the lessons in a more kid-friendly manner. The children return to worship in time to go to communion with their families.
